When past clients seek to enhance the flow of their 1978 home to better suit their modern lifestyle, we collaborate closely with them to redesign the space, blending contemporary design with timeless functionality. Their goals include creating an open-concept layout and a front porch addition. To meet these needs, the new plan focuses on designing a spacious family kitchen and living area, incorporating hardwood flooring, improving natural lighting, replacing exterior doors, and expanding the outdoor living space. Achieving this involves removing two interior walls, enlarging the kitchen, and opening it up to the family and dining rooms. The new front porch not only provides a welcoming outdoor gathering space but also enhances the home’s overall charm

A young family living in a 1925 home with only one bathroom has outgrown their space and needs an addition. They want to create a circular floor plan that includes an updated kitchen, dining area, laundry room, second bathroom with a shower, storage space, and a home office. We achieved this by building a single-story addition over a crawl space. The addition housed a new kitchen with updated amenities, a mudroom with storage, and a casual dining room. The existing kitchen and dining room became the first-floor bathroom, laundry room, and home office.

The Owens Construction team took on a remodeling project with a contemporary mountain home outside their usual service area. The interior was designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding forest, with the stairway being a focal point of the project. Thick oak timber treads with a stainless-steel rod system created a visual connection with the exterior. The remodeled stairway offers an immersive experience with custom handmade touches, providing transparent views of the forest.
